“Body Language” is a perspective on anxiety and it’s effect on the human body. One of the symptoms for anxiety is muscle strain. I painted these figures in awkward positions that include that type of pull, especially since feeling of constant tension can be awkward or uncomfortable. And although the colors used are vibrant and don’t replicate the unease that anxiety brings, it represent how no matter the brightness of  a person look or persona, anxiety is always there. The purpose of these body positions and brilliant colors is to represent the distraction between the two and emphasize the middle ground of anxiety, and as relatable yet complex statement. —Jazmine Boykins
